The place we grow up can leave a lasting impression on us. Certain smells, sights, and sounds can bring a rush of feelings that makes us feel like we are longing to go back to where we came from. Some of us are lucky enough to have the opportunity to visit these places that are special to us. Rarely do we get to build new memories in a place where we have so many old ones.
Dara and Andy got married on the farm that where Dara grew up. In fact, the property has been in her family for generations. Talk about a meaningful place to celebrate one of the most important days of your life. Imagine getting married where you don’t just smell the grass, but the smell reminds you of the times you would lay there as a child. Imagine getting married somewhere that you recognize the placement of stars in the night sky from years of staring at them……or where the sound of insects is so very familiar.
Now, when Dara goes home, she’ll have a whole new set of vivid memories to re-live.
For us, one of our dreams, as cheesy as it sounds, is for future generations to flip through Dara and Andy’s wedding album, perhaps on the farm, and have a chance to travel in their minds to a day in the distant past that was so pivotal in the course of their family. Thanks Dara and Andy for letting us be a part of your lives.
