New York Wedding Photographers | Our 2016 Story

So much happens in a year…..2016 was filled with so many ups and downs, triumphs and failures, so much fulfillment, and many disappointments. We traveled to Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic for weddings, and photographed all over New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. We dipped our feet in the Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Mexico, and the Caribbean Sea. We saw amazing sunsets, walked countless miles down forest trails, climbed trees, waded through rivers, peered over the ledge of an active volcano, and stood on rooftops in Manhattan.

On a personal level, we got a new puppy that keeps us really busy, we played a lot of music, bought a drum set, purchased a few guitars, and took a vacation to the Florida Keys. Like many people, we struggled with the political landscape and divisiveness of 2016. We saw friends and family leave our lives while other friends and family entered. We died a little inside when we helplessly watched starving refugee children beg for food and money on the border of Nicaragua and Costa Rica.

We are lucky that our job fills us with love, positivity, and hope for humanity. Our personal lives are so deeply invested into our work and we are extremely fortunate for that. We cannot thank all of our amazing couples enough; we want you to know that your memories are our memories too, and we appreciate every last interaction, tear, hug, and kind word that we experienced on your wedding day.

As we lay low here in February during our offseason, we use this time to reflect on ourselves personally. Life is a constant game of moving forward, and we want to use our time to create better art, become better people, and help those in need. Looking back on our 2016 wedding season, we can’t help but get excited to see what 2017 has in store for us.
