Since we were five years old…

that’s how long I’ve known Pia.

It takes a special friendship to last 25 years, to endure multiple long distance moves, the most recent one being when Pia moved from NYC all the way to Seattle with her husband, Patrick, who she married in Wyoming while they were driving to their new home on the other end of the country.

I hadn’t seen Pia in two years and I was really missing my best friend, so I took Steve’s suggestion and bought a plane ticket and flew out just a couple of weeks later.

Pia and Patrick took me all over the state of Washington in the few days I was there. We stayed over night in Leavenworth and ate German food, I saw the Pacific Ocean for the first time, visited the rain forest, saw the Puget Sound during sunset, drank a lot of west coast wine, and even cuddled with their cats.

Thank you both for giving me great memories. This trip will always hold a special place in my heart. I love you guys <3 .
